MONT ROCHELLE WINERY
Tasting Notes
CHARDONNAY
TASTING NOTE: Aged 8 months in 50% steel vat and 50% used small French oak barrels, to give this wine a European style. Light golden with butterscotch on the nose, leading to complex notes of citrus and hints of stone fruit and angular acidity.
ANALYSIS: Alc by Vol 13.5%
LITTLE ROCK BLANC
TASTING NOTE: The Mont Rochelle Little Rock Blanc is an uncomplicated white wine that already inspires with its light green colour in the glass. The fruity aromas of peach, green apple, pineapple and apricot are balanced by a beautiful texture and a pleasant acidity. Elegant and accessible at the same time, the blend of Sauvignon Blanc (50%), Viognier (26%), Roussanne (21%) and Sémillon (3%) offers carefree white wine enjoyment.
LITTLE ROCK ROUGE
TASTING NOTE: The Little Rock Rouge 2017 is a blended wine of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with dollops of Mourvèdre and Petit Verdot all lending a helping hand to the final blend. This wine strikes a perfect balance between easy-drinking and complexity showing a balanced fruit profile and a smooth, soft palate. Deep purple in colour, this wine abounds in vibrant red fruit aromas reminiscent of crushed cranberries and raspberries. The palate is long and elegant with hints of vanilla with fine, polished tannins.”
